  • Probate Bonds - Interchangeable with "Fiduciary Bonds," may be required of individuals appointed by the court to care for or manage someone else's assets during estate proceedings.  The most common Probate Bonds include:

  • Appeal Bonds - Covers the amount of a judgment against a defendant and allows for a delay in paying the judgment while an appeal is taken.
  • Bail Bond - This bond ensures that a person who has been released via bail will appear in court.
  • Plaintiff's Bonds - Provides a guarantee of payment for damages when a court rules in the defendant's favor.
  • Replevin Bonds - Guarantee on a seized property that it will remain in tact and not be sold.
